PIP & Performance Coaching

Performance improvement plans, coaching workflows, and escalation paths.

Coaching plans

Before formal PIPs, we recommend a coaching phase — structured feedback, clear expectations, weekly check-ins, and a defined improvement timeline (typically 4–6 weeks). This is documented in the platform and creates the paper trail needed if escalation becomes necessary.

Formal PIP

If coaching doesn't resolve the issue, a formal Performance Improvement Plan is initiated. This includes: specific measurable goals, a defined timeframe (usually 30–60 days), regular review checkpoints, and clear consequences documented. PIPs are tracked through the platform with all evidence and communications logged.

Legal implications

In India, termination for performance requires documented evidence of underperformance and reasonable opportunity to improve. The coaching + PIP workflow creates this documentation. Without it, termination can be legally challenged — especially after probation.
