Employment Contracts
What Indian employment contracts must include and how they differ from EU contracts.
Employment Contracts — Platform view
Indian contract requirements
Every employee gets a formal employment contract (appointment letter) that includes: designation, CTC breakdown, probation period and terms, notice period, leave policy, confidentiality and IP assignment clauses, and termination conditions. We generate these through the platform — compliant with Indian law and customized to your requirements.
How they differ from EU contracts
Indian contracts are generally more employer-friendly than Dutch or German ones. Probation periods of 6 months are standard (vs 1–2 months in NL). Notice periods are typically 1–3 months and apply to both parties. Non-compete clauses are largely unenforceable in India, but confidentiality and IP clauses are strong.
Digital signing
All contracts are signed digitally through the Cyphertree platform with RFC-3161 timestamps for legal validity. No printing, scanning, or courier needed.
